The warehouse will total 56,000 sqm and will be completed in Q2 2024. The project will be one of the largest logistics developments in the province of Lesser Poland and will provide new jobs in the region as well as rational use of a brownfield site.
GLP Kraków III Logistics Centre is being built on nearly 12.4 hectares in the immediate vicinity of the Niepołomice Investment Zone and numerous production plants. The building has been designed to support international logistics and the e-commerce industry. In addition to a modern warehouse space, MCG EastBridge employees will benefit from an office with an area of over 1,200 sqm.
Mirosław Maszoński, CEO of Maszoński Logistic explains: “We decided to choose Kraków because this market has huge logistics potential due to access to the A4 motorway, which is part of the 3rd Trans-European Transport Corridor. The route runs from the port of Calais in France to the eastern edge of Kazakhstan, recently one of the most important transit locations in Europe. The ability to conduct logistics operations from Krakow is therefore particularly important both in the context of the development of our company and planned activities in neighbouring countries.”
The location of GLP Kraków III Logistics Centre provides access to the A4 motorway and national road No. 75. There are also convenient rail links given the proximity of the railway station in Podłęże, from where you can reach the centre of Kraków in 25 minutes.
GLP Kraków III Logistics Centre is being constructed in accordance with BREEAM certification criteria at the "Very Good" level and to the high standard that distinguishes all newly constructed GLP facilities. The building will offer the possibility of storing goods up to a clear height of 12 meters and a floor with a load-bearing capacity of 7.5 tons per sqm. The roof will have capacity for the installation of a photovoltaic solar power system. There will also be green landscaped areas, electric car charging stations and a recreational space for employees and drivers.
Marcin Żuchniewicz, Business Development Manager, GLP Poland, commented: “Our project, developed for MCG EastBridge, is of great value to the local economy. It will contribute to changing the derelict area of an unfinished development into a modern, sustainable logistics centre. At GLP Kraków III, we will use solutions that are energy-saving, and effective and support our client's daily work. I am convinced that the MCG EastBridge team will find the best conditions for growth here.”
Axi Immo advised on the leasing process. The general contractor of GLP Kraków III Logistics Centre is Grupa Antczak.
