Unlike the previous two logistics centers, the network will lease space at the 7R Park Tczew logistics complex. The commissioning of the investment is planned for the fourth quarter of 2020. The new logistics center will be able to service up to 150 stores and will be the most modern network warehouse.
- We've analyzed all logistics processes in our two current warehouses and designed the new CL in such a way that all processes are optimized, reduced to a minimum. This will allow us to work more effectively on all quality parameters, as well as on productivity coefficients, which ultimately translate into the cost of logistics. We are preparing to open more stores, so putting the 3rd CL is a natural step for us in the development of the network - says Bartek Pietruszka, Operations Director of POLOmarket.
The investment will also include: an internal gas station, a car wash for trucks, parking lots for trucks and passenger cars for employees. The freezer and cold stores of the new logistics center will be powered based on CO2 refrigeration units. Above standard, the facility will be equipped with a 1 MW solar farm.
The investment's great advantage is its location at the A1 motorway, directly at the Swarożyn interchange and the intersection of national roads No. 91 and No. 22. This location provides access to the main communication routes of northern Poland and optimizes the logistics network of the POLOmarket network
