The partnership of Panattoni and Hager Group has again brought about results in the form of a strategic production plant. In 2015, the developer constructed a hall in Sosnowiec that was leased to Hager and four years later the company expanded its premises there by 100%. Now, Panattoni has completed a BTO (Built To Own) factory in Bieruń.

“On the anniversary of our 30th year in Poland. We have managed to achieve 100 mln finished products and thanks to the new factory we will achieve another 100 mln in another ten years. This shows that the construction of our new factory is not only a milestone in the company’s development but also marks a huge acceleration in our production,” says Robert Szklany, the Vice President Group Manufacturing at Hager Group.

“Once again it has turned out that Panattoni has been able to guarantee the quick development of a modern production plant. We wish to thank Hager Group for their trust and for partnering with us. We wish them further business success, which I am convinced will result in further strategic projects in the future”, says Marek Dobrzycki, the Managing Director at Panattoni. “We have been active in Silesia almost since the beginning of our operations in Poland and over that time we have delivered around 2.5 million sqm. We are extremely pleased to have played a part in the incredible transformation of the region from a mining area to a centre for industry and production that serves not only national markets but also those in Europe and even the rest of the world”, he adds.

As part of the development, Panattoni delivered a production and warehouse building with an area of 16,000 sqm as well as a three-storey office building with an area of 5,500 sqm.  The developer also prepared the area for the installation of cranes in the injection moulding area.

The entire project was developed in line with sustainable construction standards and the centre was constructed to meet the BREEAM guidelines for a rating of ‘Excellent’. The building’s energy demand has been partially covered with the installation of solar panels on the roof. The developer also ensured that over 20,000 sqm of green space could be found in the grounds around the factory, moreover, factory workers have electric vehicle charging stations available for their use.

The new production plant is 10 km from the Hager factory in Tychy. The development is around a 30 min drive from the centre of Katowice and has all the benefits of the Silesian urban area. Because the A1 and A4 motorways are nearby, it is easy to reach almost every destination including Poland’s borders and it also has good connections to other key cities in the country.
