The BTS facility will be developed in Grodzisk Mazowiecki and will be divided into warehousing space, office and staff facilities (with a separate canteen for employees). Development works are scheduled to commence in February, and the building is to be finished Autumn 2017.
Panattoni Europe’s new investment for the fashion company H&M will be the second BTS facility delivered by the developer to this client. The previous one, was built in Gądki at Panattoni Park Poznań I and was the first project in Panattoni Europe's portfolio to feature a broad range of environment-friendly solutions. The new warehouse will also comply generally with the principles of sustainable development – it will aim for the prestigious LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Silver certification, evaluating how buildings impact on the natural environment. The environment-oriented features of the investment for H&M will include the modern structure of the warehouse hall, the use of environment-friendly materials, energy-saving solutions, as well as the location.
Marek Dobrzycki, Managing Director, Panattoni Europe, commented: “The ideas of sustainable development are very dear to us, and that is why we are looking forward to developing another eco-project with a client as demanding as H&M. Buildings like that are not only environment-friendly, but also more cost-effective to operate. Besides, this is not our first joint project, which proves mutual trust.”
Paulina Dziubińska, Senior Consultant at the Industrial and Warehouse Space Department of JLL and H&M contact person, declares: “We are happy to be working together with H&M on such a comprehensive undertaking for the company’s new distribution centre in Poland. The warehouse built by Panattoni under the BTS – build-to-suit – formula has been designed specifically with H&M’s needs in mind, taking into account their technical and operational requirements.”
