The location of the new facility will facilitate the supply of Carrefour network outlets throughout the region and will support the developing e-grocery segment of companies in Upper Silesia.
Over 13,000 sq m the new facility will be occupied by a technologically advanced cold store. It will consist of four cooling zones, the parameters of which will be adjusted to the outside temperature. The cooling chambers will reach a height of 10.5 meters in the light, and the rest of the building up to 13 meters, which will facilitate the conducted operations.
The project will be equipped with environmentally friendly solutions. Panattoni has planned, among others preparation of 5,000 sq m a green roof, which, thanks to its sound-absorbing and thermal insulation properties, will reduce the impact of noise, and will also protect the rooms against overheating in summer or cooling down in winter. In addition, the developer will arrange green zones with office space.
Panattoni in Upper Silesia has delivered nearly 1.9 million sq m. area, of which nearly 700 thousand. sq m They were taken by tailor-made objects (BTS).
The Carrefour chain currently includes over 950 stores in six formats: hypermarkets, supermarkets, wholesale and discount stores, specialist stores and local stores. Carrefour is also developing its e-grocery segment.
Last year, together with Panattoni, we opened a warehouse in Rawa Mazowiecka, and we are currently expanding the warehouse in Bydgoszcz.
