Prologis Expands in Upper Silesia – New Warehouse in Ruda Śląska and 5 Million m² Across Central Europe!

Prologis, the global leader in logistics real estate, continues to grow its portfolio in Poland. The company has completed a brand-new 37,000 m² warehouse and production facility at Prologis Park Ruda Śląska, designed to meet the needs of logistics and manufacturing companies.

With this investment, Prologis has increased its total warehouse space in the Upper Silesia region to 563,000 m² and has now exceeded 5 million m² of space across Central Europe, including Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, and Hungary.

The new development not only brings state-of-the-art infrastructure but also boosts the local economy by creating new jobs and enhancing the region’s logistics capabilities. Nearly 800 people are currently employed across existing buildings at Prologis Park Ruda Śląska, and more than 4,400 employees work at Prologis sites across the entire Upper Silesia region.

Part of the newly delivered building has already been leased by TVH, a leading global provider of parts and accessories for industrial, construction, and agricultural machinery. The company will occupy nearly 17,000 m² – making this their third-largest warehouse globally and the second-largest in Europe. The facility will serve as a key hub for customers in Central and Eastern Europe.

The new building is designed to meet the highest environmental and technical standards. It is pre-certified for BREEAM Excellent and features a smart building management system (BMS) for monitoring energy use and managing HVAC, LED lighting integrated with DALI for automated brightness adjustment, and skylights that provide up to 12.5% natural daylight. The facility is also highly insulated (120 mm walls and 200 mm roof) to minimize energy consumption.

Additionally, the building is prepared for the installation of solar panels and heat pumps. With a ceiling height of 12 meters and floor load capacity of 10 t/m², it’s perfectly suited for both warehousing and light manufacturingoperations.

The Prologis Park Ruda Śląska site is particularly unique. It was developed on a former industrial site with close cooperation with heritage authorities and the local community. It exemplifies how modern logistics can blend with historic character and community values.

The opening of the new facility increases the total space at Prologis Park Ruda Śląska to 111,000 m². The park still has development potential, with space for two more buildings totaling an additional 20,000 m².
