The amount of warehouse space under construction is close to the level of lease recorded in the first six months of this year. Only in the second quarter, the pool of warehouse space under construction increased by one third compared to the previous quarter. According to Walter Herz's data, most logistics facilities remain in Upper Silesia, in the Western Poland zone and in Poznań. Warsaw remains the largest logistics hub in the country, where demand for warehouse space in 2020 reached 1.2 million sq m, and resources exceed 5 million sq m. The second largest warehouse center is Upper Silesia, with stock reaching almost 4 million sq m. surface. The potential of the main warehouse markets in our country is constantly growing, but smaller centers are also experiencing intensive growth. Tricity, Szczecin and a logistics center in Western Poland will join the centers offering over 1 million sq m. of warehouse space after the completion of the construction projects currently underway.
The boom in the warehouse sector is visible all over Poland. In Lower Silesia, on an area of 20 ha, Panattoni has started the construction of the Panattoni Park Głogów investment, which will provide a total of 111,000 sq m. sq m surface.
